ON FINANCIAL AID

Should I apply for financial aid?

We strongly encourage any family who feels that they might need financial assistance to apply for financial aid. Our schools are committed to enrolling terrific students and providing exceptional educational opportunities for you, regardless of your ability to pay. The financial aid process is run independently of the admission process and we encourage you to apply for financial aid if you feel cost will be a deciding factor for your family.

What is the difference between Need-Based Aid and Merit Awards?

Need-based aid is a determined amount of aid needed to enable your child to access the school experience. It is an objective amount that is determined by the financial aid committee based on your demonstrated need in the financial aid process.

Some schools offer merit-based awards in order to recognize a student's exceptional ability to contribute to the school community.  It is a subjective amount determined by the school based on the school’s program and community needs. Not all schools offer merit award programs, so it is best to check each school’s website to determine whether merit awards are available and whether a separate application is required.

How do I apply for Financial Aid?

Our schools use one of the following two financial aid platforms to assess the financial needs of families: Clarity and School and Student Service (SSS). Please be in touch with each school to determine which platform they would prefer.

Do I have to apply for financial aid each year?

Yes, you must reapply every year for financial aid. However, if your family’s financial strength has not drastically changed, you can expect to receive roughly the same amount each year in aid, which may not always match the percentage increase in tuition.
